OK...firstly i want to say that this post in gonna be about GOD GOD GOD...so those who don't feel comfortable reading this, you can just not read.
K..i'm gonna sound like abit like yiren for today. You know, there are many distractions and influences in the secular world that keeps your mind away from God...or what i like to say 'The small "g" god' These distract you from the real God almighty, and sometimes you may feel doubtful of God's presence. But remember, we're all children of God and we have faith in him.
So, basically ytd, i spent the entire day in Church. We had this east district youth day 2009 (EDYD'09). So at 12.30pm, i reached church, took my EDYD t-shirt (Perfect fit) and assembled at the hall with my Catachism friends. We started the day with P&W. The place we gathered was pretty small and the music was pretty loud, so the atmosphere was pretty much ruined. Only the facilitators were like joining in the fun while everyone else were like standing and clapping and lip-singing...the first P&W session, not very successful.
After that we had some activity. OK..there were like 100+ of us btw. joining in this EDYD. then our activity was like we were blindfolded, the lights were turned off. And we had to listen to our surroundings. I can hear ppl talking about their lives, police sirens, baby laughing, and occasionally, i felt sb put a cold water bottle on my cheek and drip some water on my...lol. Then there was this preacher walking around, wispering, 'Put our trust in God'. I didn't hear it btw... only some did. THis tells us that God's voice is very small id very small under all of our other distrtactions..and its very difficult to put God as your no. 1 priority all the time
After that we had the Adoration of the Eucharist in the Holy Chapel. Where is pretty much chanting and solemn singing. We also had to put our petitions in a baskets. We were like kneeling down all the time.
After that we headed off to CHIJ Katong Primary School...there were like 6 buses ferrying us. LOL...Had dinner over there, at abt 5pm...the food ain't appetizing or filling. After that we proceeded to the MPH. There were like 5 different Parishes attending this EDYD....Us(The Holy Trinity), The Holy Family, St. Stevens Church, Queen of Peace, and Our Lady our Perpetual Succour. everyone was wearing the same shirt they gave. Our Host was Randall Tan from MediaCorp...I actually dunno who is he...but he seems very familiar..hadn't been on TV for quite a long time.
We Had P&W again but this time its better...everyone joined in. then during the more emotional songs, we wrap our arms around each other's shoulders and swayed with the music... really felt God's presence. We then had two talks, one by some guy, another by a priest...the talks were inspirational but out seats weren't comfy, it was pretty squeezy too...so you'll tend to get abit restless sometimes.
After that was Mass...and honestly this is the best Mass i've ever been too. Firstly, the Priests from all 5 Parishes were together and even the Archbishop Nicholas Chia, was there. He conducts the mass. And i was very special indeed. Every single part of the mass was insirational, reallt felt that God is sitting right next to me. Its a day i'll never forget.
LOL. Left the school at abt 10pm...the moon was bright and round...everyting seemed peaceful.

Oh ya..btw, the theme for this EDYD was Spera In Deo which means Hope in God... hope everyone of you chirstians have it.
