Anyway. the past two days were great! On thurs. we went to fort canning park for some propergation. quite fun lah. its nice to get your hand dirty once in a while, it also really good that we're helping the environment. however i was really disppointed that we did not get to plant any other plant besides wild peppers :(
the second day was more indoors bacause it was raining :( but its still quite fun cause they taught us how to make sambal balacan and sambal assam. LOL. they called yiren and eric out to do the sambal balacan and it was pretty wrecked up. Yiren help laughing and added alot of chilli padi and dried shrimp. Made the paste damn hot and salty
Huijie and janet did the sambal assam.. janet was pretty pathetic cause she can't stand the chilli smell. but the outcome was alot better than the guys. HAHA
Then we tried a whole range of raw vege that i've never tried before. like banana flowers, tapioca leaves etc etc. the food was pretty bland but it taste nice after you add chilli.
For dinner my dad took the whole family to his friend's restaurant for a buffet dinner. well i was actually excited about the wrong thing. I LOVE buffet. but specifically western or seafood buffet. the restaurant was chinese so after i arrive i wasn't so excited as before. well the food was pretty much soso only. the only thing i like was the duck soup and noodles. the rest are ok but you get sick of it after eating too much of it.
there are alot of exotic dishes like XO chicken (made me abit sleepy after that) prawn with salted egg (the prawn's nice but the salted egg's weird). I didn't really eat alot :(
after that, my dad was like talking to his old friends and stuff and its pretty boring. so my mom took me and my sis to raffle's place which was just next door for a walk and some window shopping. as much as i hated shopping i'd rather go there than listen to my dad talk to his old friends.
OMG the shopping centre changed too much. i forgot the name of the shopping centre. it like had a complete makeover. i actually though i had never came here before but after seeing the water fountain. i remember coming here a few times years back. and its like totally changed. before, it was a huge opened area but now its like gone... replaced with stalls that sell branded stuff.
There's also this fountain where droplets water falls from the top and the droplets form this sentence.
