OK today was a long tiring yet fun day!! Whoo hoo. Firstly we arrived in school at normal time.... then we were moved to the audithorium for the MBTI profiling which is like a personality test. So we spents like more than an hour on the intro and the questionaire. Then i found out that i'm INTJ which stands for, Introverted, iNtuition, Thinker, Judgement.
Well that means i don't really like to mix with others, keep to myself, a little far sighted and imaginative, i'm also more straightforward and and tend to stick to rules, a little more organiszed.
Well, i really does sound like me....anyway we had a heated debate between the extroverted people and the introverted people. Very fun especially when the introverted ones took their time to think so really brilliant ways to defend themselves.
The talk ate into 1hr of our lunch break and we only had less than an hour left for lunch...so our initial plans of going too mos burger at tampines mall of cancelled... and we kinda end up eating in McDonalds -.- Pathetic.
THe career talk wasn't really interactive and engaging. the first speaker was from a dentist...quite boring, the speaker wasn't really experienced so we became really restless easily.
The second one required the entire level to be split into 3 groups, one talk is by a surgeon, another by an engineer and the last by a celebrity chef (Just some chef we always see in channel 8...not like Jamie Oliver or sth)
So i went to the engineer...well its quite interesting but i don't know why he wants so talk about sewage plants...i think building or tranportation would be much more appropriate. Anyway he talk about who the sewage plants works and how some stuff have to be specially modified to make it wok better. Eg. buckets have to circular to distirbute the pressure.
Then we had a talk by a lawyer...a short one cause he's late and then i think that the token of appreciation that the school's been giving the speakers is just a bag with a bottle of mineral water inside :P
After that we had our rehearsals for the dining in. the Australian students also came..i recognised a few but don't really know their name as they weren't from the same level. Well, miss keplinger came and she recognised us!!! Yay! The student were like sec2 level so they knew sherann and shi jia and they were soo excited when htey met them. they also knew shane like some celebrity
Ok the march-in was kinda disorganised and embarrassing, cause the australian students were pretty bewildered. But in the end we sat down...blah blah blah. First dish...bread. the australian students weren't any experienced than we are and its their first time to. So they were like...'can we eat now?'
We just talked and get to know each other and its quite fun!! The bread....omg can't believe eating bread can be so exhausting. you have to like follow some procedure or sth....so irritation....waste of time.
OMG Ashley Tisdale just tweeted that she's recording Phineas and Ferb!! YAAAAAYYY!! I'm literally screaming.
Back to the topic, next course, soup...equally exhausting. especially for a left hander like me. have to learn the right handed way. I mean no such thing as a left handed cutlery?!?! Are you Kidding?? There are left handed scissors, tennis rackets, golf clubs, can openers, pencil sharpeners and even laterally inverted watches for us and you are telling me we can't eat with our left hand??
Main course, its the most challenging course ever, literally challenging. Firstly my left handed problem, secondly we had to switch cutlery every few minutes, and thirdly, we eat rice with a fork? Really? A fork?
And to eat the rice we have to invert out fork so that the sharp ends are pointed downwards and press abit of the rice using the knives onto the base of the fork and eat it like that. And so we can only eat them in minute amounts every one time. the rice protion is like 1/3 of what i eat at home but i think i took 3 times longer to eat.
And its like you have to switch forks and knives everytime you want to eat something else on the plate and the fish knive can't cut the prawn at all, so i got frustrated and popped the entrie prawn in my mouth.
The Australian students and us had quite a fun time talking to each other. Then they think that Kevin tan looks like the Asian Justin Bieber. And they ask us if we've been to some store called whacko in suntec i think....where kent (one of the male student) was really excited in. So they were like laughing and like talking for about 2 mins before i ask what the store sell. Then one said 'Girls stuff' The other 'You don't really want to know what they sell'
LOL so hilarious
Oh ya we took picture with Mr Raymond and Ms keplinger!! Yay. Had dessert with a fork and spoon....i dun understand why they want to like waste so much cutlery. The Aussie student were funny at once...when Miss IDA Ong (the one demonstrating how to eat) told us that we have to eat like this because its 'western style'. Then they like got abit offended and said 'So its our fault now!'.
Well, thats pretty much it. Actually i wasn't really full. but i lost my appetite after all the slow eating. The Australian students left early and we then got dismissed.
ok bye
