Anyway. After the chemistry examination. Some of my friends and I headed to the Tampines Sports hall to play a game of table tennis and badminton. Well, before that he had lunch and walked pass a new Hershey shop where a saleslady was giving out free chocolate to passers-by. So Janet and Liting approached the lady expecting her to drop some into their covetous palms. However she turned a blind eye to them, causing them to be utterly frustrated.
Salespeople never give complimentary samples to students because they think that we are penurious and lack purchasing power
In the mall. There was a food sale on mooncakes and there we free samples everywhere. Janet was greedy and took one small sample without the salesperson looking. However the saleperson noticed and she looked at us as though we were no better than pests. Her enigmatically obnoxious expression really put janet in a tight spot. Take or don't take. Finally Janet just dropped the sample back onto the plate and we scurried off like mice.
After lunch we walked to the sports hall. I was a tepid day and the un-ventilated hall made us even warm. I couldn't help perspiring. We only managed to play a few minutes of ping pong because there was a lesson going on later. So in the end we had to make do with 2 badminton rackets that we have. I changed into something more comfortable (though not comfortable enough in the stuffy hall) I dun know how my other friends managed to tolerate such intense heat in the sauna-like hall with dark long pants.
I haven't played badminton for more than a year now. I used to play with my sisters quite a lot in the past but eversince one of them joined badminton cca in her school it pretty much ceased. Fortunately my skills haven't deteriorate too bad.
I headed home after that to enjoy my rest of the day in repose. Some of my friends asked me if I want to go out the next day for icecream but honestly i felt really lazy and apathetic. I didn't want to travel halfway around Singapore to get a few scoops of frozen cream.
