impossible is just a possibility

Hey I'm back! Well, if u still don't know i went to Shanghai and Soeul For vacation last week. Its was really fun! The purpose of the trip was mainly for food and sightseeing.

Caution this post is incredibly long.

Well, I arrived at Shanghai very early in the morning on the 17th and i tried to find isaac cause he is at the airport too. But, my phone had no network connections as in i can't call or sms or surf the net. Trying to fix the prob took forever and i borrowed my dad's phone to SMS him (I cannot call itch cause apparently he says he can only receive sms) so he didn't reply and i was already passed the immigration :(

My dad's shanghai business partner (We call him Uncle David) picked us up and took us for breakfast. We then took a break at the hotel before heading out for lunch. 小笼包!! OMG it was amazing! the ones in s'pore can't even compete with it! They even got miniature ones which we really cute and taste awesome!!

After that, we went down to the World financial center which is the tallest building in the city and we had ice cream at a bar on the 91st floor. From there we could see the yangtze river and also the jinmao tower and the pearl tower. Its really amazing. You feel like you're a giant.

We had dinner at the hotel. It was a really really grand buffet (biggest one i've seen) but we were so bloated from the ice cream we had no appetite. So the meal was a torture.

The next day, we went to the river bank where u can see the entire shanghai skyline. U know, the place where all tourist agencies use when they wanna promote shanghai.
Then we went for a little shopping and we skipped lunch because of the lesson learnt from the previous day.

For dinner we had seafood. It was amazing! Sashimi prawn. tofu that don't taste like tofu and a delicious fish thats as soft as butter. I also tried their local river crab which is about the size of your fist and it was really delicious!! We had like well more than 10 dishes i think and whats amazing is that is really cheap (I forgot the price but i know its its way less then S$200)

On the third day we went to Hangzhou via a bullet train. It went like 350km/h. (It can go up to 380km/h but ours was just a short distance) There, we had lunch at a restaurant (again, cheap). Hangzhou is alot less developed than shanghai but what suprised me is that they have a mall that sells all branded goods. While every building around it looks old and run down. But the beauty of hangzhou is its lake.
The view was just spactacular.

We took a ferry onto an island in the middle of the lake and there is another lake inside the island and in that lake there is another island! It was an amazing sightseeing spot. I took many many photos (all on facebook btw)

We had dinner at another restaurant and tried many exotic food like tiny eels, river fish that has bones everywhere except the stomach and tiny prawns (deshelling them just tires you out)

After dinner we saw alot of people playing this cool helicopter slingshot thingy. Its only 3 for S$2. Its basically a plastic rod with a propellor to the top and a blue LED light. So u hook it up onto a slingshot and u can shoot it about 20m into the air and watch it spiral back down to the ground. Super fun!!

We head back to Shanghai the following day and did some shopping. It wasn't productive cause they only sell winter clothing which we don't wear in s'pore and they are world brands (which means they are ex) I only bought a belt. HAHA.

Peking Duck for dinner yum yum. We ordered like 12 over dishes and u know how much it cost?? about S$120.

The next day he headed to Seoul, where my dad's korean business partner took us to the ski resort. It was a one hour drive at shanghai, one hour wait in the airport two hour flight to seoul and two hour drive after that and by the time we arrive at the ski resort its night time. Had a korean dinner (Kimchi rocks)

Went skiing the next day. We could hire an english speaking instructor so we had to learn it ourselves. It ain't the first time i skiied, so i wasn't at a complete loss. Stayed at the beginner's slope the entire day. The first few tries we pretty bad but soon i got the hang of it and managed to control and steer myself. It was fun!!

More kimchi for dinner again!! BTW i u ever go to korea u gotta try their strawberries!! Best in the world!

The following day, it was a one hour drive to seoul city and there, we had sumptuous lunch. Korean BBQ beef!! Did a little shopping at the local street market and then we had dinner with my dad's business partner's family. To my surprise it was BBQ beef again! We can't change cause the table has been reserved. But the food was better than the one we had for lunch.

Back at the hotel me and my sis kinda played with their children. They were really young and i just love playing with children. Played for really really long and it was fun.

Well, the next day was back to singapore so thats just an overview of my vacation. there are many many things more that i could say but i've been typing for about an hour already so i dun wanna say more. bye!
