MONDAY
Mass Dance!! It was amazing. We dance to the five songs we learn the past few days repeatedly. Haha It was just super fun! We were like tourist attractions cause down at the fountain of wealth,tourists are walking around the centre for good luck and up above we are singing and dancing!! So cool!! My favourite dances are s club and Jai Ho. I still can't get Dhoom. We even did many conga lines and went around the fountain many times!! So amazing and i'll always remember that day :D
Tuesday
O-nite. Our many days of hard work and rehearsals were finally paid off. It was a really amazing night and its really awesome that my OG had the opportunity to perform on stage and got SECOND!! WHOO HOO!! KRATOS KRATOS! There were many other amazing performances too, especially for talent night! And OMG in the end, it was like the best thing ever, the performnce turned into a rock concert where people just jump and scream and stuff!! Did conga line again and danced to Sclub and Speedy. In the end i was sweating like hell. But it was still one of the best school events i had.
Wednesday
I was dead beat when i arrive in school. The previous two school days were 14hours long each. So i had little sleep for the previous two night. But i really had to keep myself awake because that night i was going to TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT!!
Anyway, in school, we had a couple of talks and then had a PDP exhibition. Initially when i stepped into this college i wanted to join Tennis or Squash cause they are the only sports that interest me. But i was really disappointed to hear that there are trials and you have to prepare your own racket and stuff beforehand. So i kinda thought that if i bought the equippments and i don't get in, its a total waste (furthermore i have no experiance in either) So i gave up :(
The second thing that caught my attention was choir, of all the performing arts it seems the most appealing to me :O So i signed up for the audition on friday. Well, there were also a few club that are interesting like LEO club but i've been in clubs for 7 years already, and so i wanna try something different
Finally Taylor Swift Concert!! It was incredible! I must really thank my cousin really much!! She treated me to the tickets and a T-shirt!! OMG!! Taylor Swift was as amazing as always and YES! She CAN sing!! I was screaming and singing along and it was just the most memorable night ever!! I was really amazed to see hundreds of diehard fans (1000 times crazier than me). The scream and run in a screaming 'mob' whenever someone shouts 'Taylor Swift!' There were many many yound kids, by the hundreds!! and they were all crazy :D
Taylor Swift opened with Sparks Fly then proceeded to many of her popular singles like Mine, Speak Now, Back to December (mash up with apologise and you're not sorry)
and many more. She also sang the singles from her previous album, You belong with me, fearless, fifteen and she ended with LOVE STORY!!! Amazing!!
Thursday
That day was filled with lectures and talks back to back. It was really really boring that some (in fact quite a number of) students skipped the last few talks. The lecturer then threathen us that they will take attendance so that we called them back to school. It was a lose-lose situation. Both parties end up pissed off with one another. Also, we were incredibly restless for sitting there at the same seat for hour after hour that we made noise which made some teacher angry and we got reprimanded but we still continued to talk and so the cycle goes on and on again, sometimes three cycles within five minutes.
Fortunately it was the first time i got home early for some well-deserved rest. Slept at 9.30pm to catch up on some sleep
Firday
CG bonding day!! We were introduced to our CG mates and Civics tutor. I think i really enjoy my civis tutor (also my GP tutor) She's really easygoing and cheerful character and I kinda like her sudden outburst of laughter (reminds me of someone :D)
Didisome ice breaker games and then had the CSI game thing where we had to solve some puzzles to gain access to the CG's facebook group. After that we had a heritage trial where we had to take a class photo at each of the destinations listed to us. It wasn't really enjoyable because of the scorching weather and the lack of bonding activities. We didn't really bond much as a class, the only way we bonded was because we 同甘共苦 under the heat. The only activity we had was to take a group photo at every destination, and some of the destinations wern't even nice. It was so awkward that we took a photo with a run-down buiding that was closed and corned off for construction.
Anyway, we were eventually glad to be back in school, and i headed to my Choir Audition. I had to take a number. Got 15. and then had to wait some more. The auditioning process was really really slow because after one and a half hour only 8 people had auditioned and there were still trice as many people left.
I was lucky, I managed to skip a in front of a few people because the teachers were sick and tired of auditioning girls and wanted guys for a change. So i went in. I was nervous because in the waiting area, many of the others had choir experience and had prepared choir pieces i've never heard before. Me on the other hand was singing the national anthem :P Also i had a bad sore throat for shouting and screaming at the concert
The teachers were pretty pleased and were amazed at my listening abilities. For example, they played pretty random notes on the piano and i could sing them out well. After that they asked me to sing an English song and i kinda surprised them by singing Hey Soul Sister. They said my pitching was quite good :D
They then told to to leave and come back later on to sing to the conductor. They told me to sing Happy Birthday. They teachers were pleased but the conductor only had this satisfied look on her face (good enough for me actually, she does look very professional) After that she told me i sang like one of the seniors, Jonas (I initially thought she was referring to the Jonas Brothers LOL) Apparently i use my upper abdominals to sing (didn't make sense to me) and it would be better if i sang with my lower belly.
She tried some test on me by like pulling both my ears trying to get me use my cheekbones??? Holding the back of my neck which cause me to sing awkwardly like donald duck -.- But in the end she was glad to accept me :D
